Well, you didn't say he was in the navy, that's a draw :).  It is quite long though - about three hours wasn't it?  I might try and tackle it in 'bits'.

It's in two parts - roughly 3 hrs yeah. Also has info on an Aussie in it - Admiral Rico Botta.

Alien covenant. Faith somewhat restored if they are making a few more movies down this path.

Well that's a good sign, great to hear Saintsy :).  Cheers for posting as well, after Prometheus I probably would have skipped this one unless I'd heard otherwise.

Just came out of Alien tonight, absolutely loved it! Fassbender steals the show again.

More great news :).  Sounds like the franchise is back on track (or better than ever, for Prometheus fans :)).

Not a movie per se, but I watched the hour-long docco "Nazi Concentration Camps", made just before and after the end of WW2 in Europe (it was presented as video evidence at the Nuremberg war crime trials), and I'd say it's about the most disturbing stuff I've ever soon.  I've seen other Holocaust documentaries, but there's something 'workmanlike' and raw about the way this one is (such that I watched it in about 5-6 sittings, as it was a bit much to watch at once).  So if you want to be disturbed, there's an option :).

I went to Auschwitz when I was backpacking around Europe in my late teens (in the mid 90s). There's a certain eeriness and silence when you walk around there, a sense that words can't really describe. Humanity at its worst. I have hope we'll one day have peace and (true) freedom for all.
