That's exactly my thoughts... but Bungie do the community thing better than anyone else - that's what I'm most interested in.

Yeah, I will def keep my eye on it, but if it starts looking like just another Halo i will give it a miss. It needs to control more heavy and realistic I think, less Halo more Battlefield, player feeling wise.

I really like their ambition on this one - a big ask to make a game that they want to last 10 year, which I am assuming means most of next gen console life-span while simultaneously getting people hooked on the game

Will definitely have a more focussed watch on this again later but it does sound very ambitious as Straussy said. I have faith in Bungie to pull it off. Marathon was an awesome game back in its day, Halo was still a great game, probably more targeted to the younger mob. The great thing is (if it does turn out good) - PS3/4 gamers will get to play it. Eat that M$!

Note: Yes, that final statement was to grab some Likes, so press away. Need to get me some of that Karma and purpose back in my life hey Straussy. haha. :P

What's with Bungie and geometric shapes?

So is it an MMO or what? And is it coming out on PS at the same time as Xbox?

It does, very much. But I think the real reveal is yet to come.

I like the look and feel potentially of what it could be so far - sounds like it's a (mainly) online, persistent shooter where you'll seamlessly be able to party up with both your mates and randoms without leaving the game, and take it to the enemy or play PvP.  I likes me a sci-fi shooter, so could get into it if they do it well.  Just have to hope that however they set the servers up doesn't nerf (lag up) people living outside of the US and Europe, as it's one thing playing a cooldown-based MMO on laggy servers, but a complete 'nother playing an action-shooter.

I read this Kotaku article, the concept art looks great if it translates well into the game the world looks like it could be great. They would have to sell me a bit more on the whole always online thing though.

Always on for a game that can only be played online is fair enough - it'd be like complaining about MAG having an always-on connection.  Bungie have had some troubles with Halo's of the past, but will have learned from the experience as well B).

When they phrase it like that it sounds like the offline campaign may be like that as well

I'm fairly (but not 100% sure) that Destiny doesn't have an offline campaign per se - rather, it's possible to play by yourself in the multiplayer world (a bit like solo-ing in an MMO), but could be wrong :).
