I'm sure Clowny will post up a vid soon, he's got a vid for everything :).

Here's a good trailer on airplanes... I think it's called Flying High here in Australia though.

Very informative and undoubtedly just as classic as a Concord. lol

I used to fly a little Piper Warrior with the callsign MSG.  I was flying lead for a formation and totally screwed up my approach and had to go-round.  I think the guy in the tower wet himself when I made the call "Mono Sodium Glutimate" going round... it just rolled off the tongue easier than Mike Sierra Golf.

From memory, it ingested a bit of rubber or something and was deemed unsafe due to catastrophic failure.
I think that may have had some bearing on it (or been the final nail that broke the camels back), but it was mostly cost.

If you're ever in Seattle, they've got one sitting on the ground at the Museum of Flight. You had to be a right skinny b'stard to sit in those seats, so I suspect it was the onset of obesity in the states that ultimately caused it's downfall.

I had a photoz, but I losted them :(

EDIT:
The crash was in 2000, Concord was mothballed in 2003.
